SOMATIC EXPERIENCING® (SE™) is a body-oriented therapeutic model designed to resolve symptoms of chronic stress and trauma by focusing on bodily sensations (felt senses) rather than cognitive memories.

Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, it aims to release pent-up "survival energy" from the nervous system to restore self-regulation and resilience.

SE addresses trauma stored in the body's nervous system, aiming to process sensations (tension, heat, shaking) instead of focusing on the story.

SE helps clients "unfreeze" or complete unfinished survival responses, relieving physical and emotional symptoms like chronic pain, anxiety, and PTSD.

SE™ is used to elevate:‍

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Chronic stress

  • Shock/acute trauma

  • Physical symptoms of trapped emotions (e.g., tension, pain)
